BUSINESS E-COACHING

“The coaching has really been an insightful exercise”

As part of our global response to the Covid-19 pandemic, COLEACP recently facilitated e-coaching sessions on business management for Nigerian SMEs, partners in the Fit For Market programme. The company directors rated the support at 9/10. A specific focus on management of supply chains, cashflow and human resources assisted the companies to identify a specific roadmap towards continuous improvement and growth. The companies have set up operations to produce and aggregate fresh produce (vegetables) from smallholder farmers, but are looking for external funding to increase scale, improve logistics and reduce post-harvest losses.

The e-coaching sessions are provided on request as a follow-up to participation in the COLEACP/African Management Institute digital Business Survival Bootcamps held in the summer. Sessions are currently also being provided in Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

Since June 2020, COLEACP has held seven bootcamps to support more than 175 entrepreneurs, general managers and financial managers. Today more than 30 companies are receiving periodic e-coaching sessions to put their operations back on track. And with COLEACP support some are also exploring new financial opportunities, and preparing and revising their business plans.
